Thanks everyone for the best Field Day I've ever had!!! My appreciation to everyone cannot be expressed in words, so I'll just say, "THANKS EVERYONE!" I realize that an effort this big takes support of everyone, such as KB5MBK and many more. Thanks to everyone for their support of Field Day.


Also, I'd like to give a few additional thanks as well.

Last year, when I asked to operate, I was told no. When I asked to log for someone, I was told no. I was made to feel 'un-something'... Forget that fact that I set up 300 points of demos, and 100 points of PR, and helped make 100 points of Sat contact and that Alton and I actually got audio recordings of NASA Astronaut Susan Helms' history-making participation in Field Day...

This year, everyone made me feel 'in-something', like, involved. My Thanks to PBARC and its members for that.

W5WRL taught me how to make a contact, then let me make a few more. My Thanks to KD5OUZ for taking a break to let me operate.

N5POB and W5ZOX were kind enough to let me learn the logging side of things. Bill showed me how to 'search and rescue' a contact while Dwayne showed me my first Pile-Up. ZOX was hot and I logged some 40+ (I think) contacts for him in a just a few minutes. He managed that Pile-Up like the pro he is! THANKS YOU GUYS!

KM5BS and KD5IRL were kind enough to show me PSK31 operation. I appreciated that very much. Tough contacts to get in that mode... Thanks to them, that's a mode I'll try as soon as I move up to General...

N5PSP and KE5F set up the GOTA station for 100 additional points, and KD5IRL took the time to show me how it all should work. Many thanks to Alton and Alicia, I learned a lot more stuff at the GOTA station.

Summary: Last year I really didn't see the benefits of jumping off the repeaters and into the 'real world' of ham radio because I wasn't allowed to try anything at all, I wasn't allowed to participate.

This year I was allowed to truly PARTICIPATE in Field Day and I personally had a great time of it. I was able to see 1st hand, by actual operation of radios and logging, what Field Day is really about. I was given a fantastic Field Day by my fellow hams in PBARC.

OK FOLKS

I had a blast at field day. As you can tell I love 20 meters and I love to contest. I want to thank everyone that worked very hard at the operating stations. This was the best field day I can ever remember since I became a ham 4 years ago. If P.B.A.R.C Had a mini field Day once a month we could the best club in town.

Having a mini operation once month was what I was shooting for for A.R.E.S. We could have been the most active group listed in the country. Any way thanks everyone for the good time.

I want forget this field day, and again thanks everyone for the good time.
