While on my way home from a caving trip on the cloudy morning of November 21, 2004, I decided to take a welcomed departure from my normal route, I stopped off in in Iraan, Texas at the Alley Oop Park. I hope you enjoy the pictures I took, these remind me of a simplier time in America when roadside attractions like this were popular across the back roads of the nation. For a moment I stepped back in time, back to the mid 1950's. If your ever down Iraan way along Highways 349 and 190 just to the West and North of the main drag is Alley Oop Park, stop in for a visit. |
